Today, there are
homeless people in Pinellas
Having worked in Bail Bonds for many years, Amos Allen grew tired of seeing the high number of young adults arrested, often repeatedly. Feeling that too many lives were being wasted, too little was being done to help rather than just punish, Amos started his personal crusade.
He began working exclusively with The Acts Program and The Children's Home and developmentally disturbed youths. As he became more deeply involved and committed to his mission, his family joined him in his good works. Having a united, loving and supportive family, each member of the Allen Family felt these troubled, young people just needed someone who would not give up on them.
Our mission as a family is to teach young people that you get out of life what you put in, to help them build a foundation with values, to dream big and to always remember that God is first in everything we do and say.
As Amos himself often tells his young charges, "Don't just look around to see if someone is watching, look up and know that He sees everything. Then you will know the right thing to do."
Amos started back in '92 making it his mission on a daily basis to talk to troubled youths' about life, dreams, goals and being a positive and better person.
We help feed & cloth the needy. We provide positive leadership and counseling. Our doors are always open to help families with food and information pertaining to jobs, education, and restructuring of self-worth.
We are taking this opportunity to extend an invitation to those of you whose hearts are kind, who wish to help their fellow man through donations or time.
Now our mission has expanded to not just fostering the inner life and soul
but to fulfilling the immediate needs of those less fortunate
Our goal is to open up The Allen House Non-profit. To bring in 10 homeless people for 30 days and let them clean-up, relax, feed them, give them spiritual guidance and put them in the right direction.
We would love to have the building built from the ground up to accommodate those 10 people a month, large rooms for beds, shower, kitchen and a small prayer room and TV room The Allen House will be a house of happiness, love and structure
Giving... feels good.
